How Equipment Insider reports, writes, and corrects articles
Equipment Insider is a small, operator-led publication. This page explains how we use sources, AI assistance, bylines, images, sponsorships, and corrections.
House byline
Most articles are published under Equipment Insider Editorial Desk. This is a house byline, not a fictional person. It means the article may have been researched, drafted, edited, or formatted with AI assistance and then reviewed before publication.
Articles by Alex Boyd represent operator perspective from a real contractor and equipment owner.
AI assistance
AI tools may assist with research organization, drafting, summarization, editing, headline development, formatting, and image generation. AI is not treated as an authority or primary source. Factual claims should come from source material, public records, company disclosures, direct experience, or clearly marked analysis.
Sourcing and attribution
We cite and link to sources when an article relies on public reporting, company announcements, market data, government records, financial disclosures, or other third-party information. Citation is not permission to copy another publication's expression, structure, or original reporting wholesale. Our standard is to add useful context and analysis, not mirror another outlet's article.
Images
Equipment Insider uses original, licensed, public-domain, or generated images. We do not knowingly publish stolen photography or pass third-party images off as our own.
Affiliations and sponsorships
Equipment Insider is connected to Alex Boyd. Alex owns Brushworks Services Co. and is involved with FieldFix. FieldFix mentions should be understood as affiliated product mentions when they appear in a promotional context.
Sponsored content, if accepted, should be clearly labeled. We do not sell paid placements as independent editorial coverage.
Corrections and rights concerns
If an article contains an error, missing attribution, rights concern, or unclear disclosure, contact us with the article URL and the specific issue. We review credible requests and update, clarify, correct, or remove material when appropriate.
