CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 is about to add some serious shimmer to Las Vegas — and maybe a Guinness World Record to go with it.

Show organizers have announced plans to attempt the world record for most people wearing high-visibility safety vests at the same time. The attempt, scheduled for March 3 during the opening ceremony, aims to obliterate the current record of 2,499 participants.

More Than Just a Number

“This record attempt is more than a number — it’s a celebration of the advances, hard work, innovation and dedication of everyone in the construction industry,” said Dana Wuesthoff, Show Director of CONEXPO-CON/AGG. “We want to honour those who build our cities, roads, railways, airports, stadiums and monuments and highlight how their efforts touch every aspect of society.”

The choice of high-vis vests is intentional. Safety remains the industry’s top priority, and the sea of orange will serve as a powerful visual reminder of the men and women who build our infrastructure while keeping safety at the forefront.

What to Expect

Thousands of attendees will don commemorative orange safety vests for the record attempt, creating what promises to be an unforgettable visual spectacle. Participants will receive keepsake vests and official recognition for their role in the historic gathering.

Michael Empric, Official Adjudicator at Guinness World Records, will be on-site to verify the attempt: “We are excited to host this extraordinary moment as the construction community comes together to celebrate its innovation, sustainability advances, workforce investments and set a new world record in the heart of Las Vegas.”

The triennial trade show runs March 3-7, 2026 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. With nearly 140,000 expected attendees and more than 2,000 exhibitors from around the globe, it’s the largest construction trade show in North America.

Whether or not they break the record, one thing’s certain: the construction industry will be impossible to miss in Vegas that week.
